When I was offered a position with Montpelier as Marketing Executive, my first thoughts were what if I get out there and I don’t it? What if they don’t like me? What if I can’t do the job? What if I don’t like the accommodation?
So far the highlights for me have been sailing the first day on a sixty footy yacht, a five course and five star networking dinner at the Hilton Hotel and plus a couple of…erm. lively nights out! But the real highlight has been winning a trip to Perth for a long weekend as an incentive for hitting our targets for the weekend to go and see the Australia v Fiji test rugby match and experience the wonderful sights and sounds of Perth.
Back in the office we work hard but this as expected and was explained to me during the interview. There is also a lot of product knowledge to pick up, revision and study outside of work. The targets are more than achievable on a consistent basis, with focus and effort. . Be warned the training is quite intense particularly as it is your first week in a new country with loads to learn etc.
The apartments are clean, tidy, serviced and have 24hr security guards. There is a swimming pool, gym, shop, and laundry and squash courts.
Obviously, I can’t say whether this is for you. I can say I’m really enjoying work and the lifestyle. If you put in the effort there is, so far, a worthwhile reward. All the commitments that Montpelier made have been kept.

My role here at Montpelier is to provide an excellent administration service to Financial Services new and existing clients and both internal and external IFA’s for our SIPP Product. My job title is Paraplanner/Administrator, a role in which I have had several years service prior to joining Montpelier and which I enjoy immensely, particularly in the area of SIPPs as prior to joining Montpelier, I had very little knowledge of.
In the main and on a daily basis, I maintain existing SIPP cases and regularly process and submit new FS and SIPP applications, together with maintaining provider contact where necessary on behalf of our clients.
I consider that, in addition to be qualified at FPC 3 level and having had experience as both an IFA and personal assistant to a Director IFA in the recent past, I also have the interpersonal skills to deal with clients and IFAs on a day to day basis.

Being my first position in full time employment, working at Montpelier has given me great opportunities and a good head start.
I currently work in the administration services Montpelier offers. However I am working towards furthering my career in Financial Services by studying for and planning to take FPC qualifications. I feel very confident with the area in which I work.
My work entails general administration for Financial Services and Pensions, constant use of 1st client software and other computer based systems, whereby all client records are kept up to date within the firm.
Overall, Montpelier has the perfect working environment for employees and offers fantastic client service as well as up and coming business products.

Montpelier Pension Administration Services Limited is a progressive modern self-administered pension provider created and operating within the new pension regime. This gives me far more opportunities and confidence than working for a firm that has a history of problems. The day to day technical and sales backup is provided by two very experienced self invested pension professionals with the overall responsibility for the company being taken by an MD with a sound self invested pensions background.
